The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel hosts a Blood Donation Camp paying homage to The Leela Group Founder Chairman


Landmark destination for business and leisure travellers in Delhi, The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, hosted a blood donation camp in memory of the late Founder Chairman Captain CP Krishnan Nair of The Leela Group. The objective was to pay tribute to their late Founder Chairman who was an avid advocate and ardent supporter of contributing to the welfare of the society. The camp was organised in partnership with The Lions Blood Bank, Shalimar Bagh.


Speaking on the importance of the organisation of the blood donation camp Mr. Jaideep Anand, General Manager of The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel said, “This is the third death anniversary of our Founder Chairman Captain CP Krishnan Nair, and he would have been 95-years-old today. To celebrate this momentous milestone, 95 employees from each of The Leela hotels have donated blood that will contribute towards saving lives. We hope to follow the principles of our founder and are confident that this feeling of gratitude will stay with us and guide us to always do and aim for the better.”

New Delhi, Saturday, 28th November, 2015: Cycling rally was organised by Mantan, a fitness lounge to promote its initiative towards Cancer Awareness among Kids. The associate sponsors were Volvo & Medanta and event was supported by IAAPI & Walk in India.

Around 50 cyclists from Cyclofit Group participated in the rally that was flagged off at The Gallery on MG Mall, extended over a 10 km stretch, and returned back at the venue.

Kids in T-shirts pedalled off to spread a message” I am stronger than you think”

Volvo cars followed the cycles of the student volunteers, closely guiding them through traffic.

Fund raised from the event was  Rs. 50,000 in cash and various products under “Walk in India” banner brands like Shimy Shimy, Flinx and Swati Modo sold and raised 1 lakh towards the cause.


Cancer Kids & their Parents and Can kids team during Zumba Session by Mantan

In India, 50,000 children are diagnosed with cancer annually. However, a little known fact is that 70% to 95% childhood cancers are curable if detected early.

While addressing the Press Conference, Mr. Gagan Deep Khajotia GM at Mantan- a fitness lounge said, “We initiated this with an aim to spread awareness about Cancer and also to motivate people to have a healthy lifestyle. Also, once should visit the doctor and get proper body check-up once in year for a healthy living“

Ms. Alka from IAAPI said “There is an alarming surge of people afflicted with cancer in our country and as a nation; I believe we are lagging far behind in facilitating physical and emotional support to cancer patients and their families.”

Swati Modo, Co-Founder Walk in India said, “Walk in India stands for equality and when it comes to cancer kids we have always encounter inequality in terms of gender. We stand here to educate the importance of a girl child and importance of treatment of girl child.

There were various other activities happened during the event exhibition stalls were organised for fund raising, Zumba Dance session for kids, Fun filled event with food, Kids play area and energy drinks with Music and Dance. Gifts and appreciation token for Cancer Kids & helping hands.
